THE JORDAN FLY 23 BASKETBALL SHOE: SPEED AND STRENGTH COMBINED
A repertoire of lightning-quick cuts and rocket-like acceleration demands the court-gripping traction, support and flexibility that the Jordan Fly 23 Men's Basketball Shoe brings to every game.BENEFITS
Textile and synthetic leather upper for lightweight durability and support
Dynamic full-innersleeve integrates with the upper to provide a nearly seamless fit for comfort and reduced irritation
Max Air unit in the heel provides maximum impact cushioning and comfort
Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning and a low-profile fit and feel
DESIGN
Carrying the sleek signature detail of a legend, the Jordan Fly 23 never fails to leave its mark on the game. A perforated toe box and thick mesh tongue ensures lasting, ventilated comfort from opening tip to buzzer, while a dynamic innersleeve flows into the upper construction to reduce painful chafing.
SUPPORT
Ankles are the most vulnerable joint on the court, but overcompensating for stability typically reduces range of movement. Not so in the Jordan Fly 23. The collar is lower in back to maintain flexibility, but wraps upwards around the top of the foot to isolate the ankle and help prevent rolling. Add an external TPU midfoot shank plate and a lateral outrigger, and this shoe is a total package of torsional rigidity and support.
CUSHIONING
A trio of advanced technologies converge to provide the ultimate in impact-protection, easing the shock of landings and hard cuts: Lightweight Phylon down the length of the midsole, a low-profile Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot, and a visible Max Air unit in the heel. An anatomically-shaped internal collar and heel pad keeps the foot comfortably yet firmly in place for balling out without fear.
TRACTION
A modified elephant print crackle pattern defines the outsole, divided vertically and horizontally by flex grooves for agile side-to-side cuts and quick acceleration in transition. Converging into a pivot point at the forefoot, the durable rubber construction is a unique study in efficient, multidirectional traction.
ORIGINS
Since his game-winning shot that brought the National Championship to North Carolina, Michael Jordan has been at the forefront of basketball consciousness. He took the court in 1985 wearing the original Air Jordan I, setting a new standard for performance and style, simultaneously breaking league rules and his opponents' will while capturing the imagination of fans worldwide.
