The Jordan CP3.V Men's Basketball Shoe was designed with insights from Chris Paul's quick "sprint and cut" playing style. Paul's fifth signature shoe features a lightweight and supportive upper, plus innovative cushioning and signature details inspired by his personal life.

SIGNATURE DETAILS

In addition to the high-performance aspects of the Jordan CP3.V, designers made sure to integrate Paul's personal life into the design of this shoe. In high school he scored 61 points in a single game and dedicated the game to his deceased grandfather. This is represented by 61 triangle cutouts on the upper. Tally marks on the left and right heel represent two major milestones in his life: his marriage (9-10-11) and the birth of his son (5-24-09). In a nod to his notable bowling skills there's a five-tally detail on the medial side, a 10-pin cutout at the toe area and his shoe size stamped on the outsole.

SUPPORT

Designed with the most lightweight supportive technology available, the Flywire on the upper of the Jordan CP3.V Basketball Shoe offers enhanced support while making this version the lightest model to date. To create zonal support, a thin, plastic frame wraps the Flywire for lightweight lockdown only where you need it. An external midfoot shank on the outsole provides extra support and stability.

CUSHIONING

Dual-density cushioning in the forefoot combines responsive cushioning on the medial side of the foot and firm cushioning on the lateral side for enhanced stability when making hard cuts. In the heel, revolutionary Podulon®-- made up of strategically placed, modular cushioning pillars--contributes to the shoe's plush, cushy feel.

TRACTION

A solid rubber outsole with a multidirectional traction pattern provides excellent durability and traction on hard woods. The traction pattern is denser in high-wear areas like the heel and medial forefoot for enhanced traction.

The Air Jordan XX8 is the newest shoe to join the legacy. Created by famous sneaker designer, Tinker Hatfield, the XX8 is made with the goal of elite performance and explosive on-court style. This shoe boasts a new-age design that’s equipped with the highest level of technological advances than any Air Jordan to date. A stretch textile sleeve boasts a high performance zipper to offer support and a clean modern look. The outer sleeve covers a Dynamic Fit system, which utilizes supportive straps that work in harmony with the midsole and laces so the shoe moves with the foot, offering the ultimate lockdown fit. Below the foot is a is durable Phylon midsole that contains Nike Zoom units in the heel and forefoot to provide responsive, lightweight cushioning in addition to a low-profile feel. The midsole also features a Jordan Flight plate, which elevates the responsiveness of the Zoom units through compression and deflection for optimal performance.
